Tuscan Brands Special Programs will consist of 3 key initiatives.  These initiatives are Academics, Community Service, and Mentorship. We believe that for our student-athletes to succeed on the court and in the real world they will need to understand the importance of these areas and how to incorporate them into their lives at an early age.

 

Academics- New England Hoops Academy, will work with the parents of our athletes to make sure we are rewarding the efforts of our students who excel in the classroom and achieve an A/B average for a giving academic term. Our goal is for parents to submit the most recent report card, as part of the required paperwork to join our club. One of our primary goals is to promote academic excellence by rewarding those who excel in the classroom and providing academic support to those who need it.

 

Community Service- New England Hoops Academy is a firm believer in the importance of giving back and community involvement. We are partnering with local programs to get our boys involved in giving back in different ways. We will be volunteering at local shelters in our community to help serve food to the less fortunate. We will also be working with local programs like the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club and Youth Development Organization by taking part in their fundraising events and helping in any way we can. Our goal is to show our athletes that we need to be involved in improving our community, and there is no better way to do so than giving back by either donating our time or money.

 

Mentorship- New England Hoops Academy strongly encourages mentorship at all ages and levels.  We are committed to making sure our athletes understand the importance of having a mentor and will be leading this effort by committing to bringing different speakers to talk to the kids twice a month during the Spring AAU season. The speakers will come from different walks of life and various professions but will focus on delivering a message about the importance of education, working hard, mentorship, and giving back.  The goal is to show the kids how these qualities when applied will help them to develop into young men that will succeed in life and be positive contributors in our society.
